about to go for an interview we usually get tensed thinking about the probability of getting through the interview. I wasn’t exceptional. This all story happened on 25th February 2021. Early morning, my father reminded me about the interview mail, I then realized my interview is scheduled in the morning hour. Within no time I made myself ready and as I was left with little time, My father had to drop me, as it was sudden news, I had to take my resume and reach the place by 10:30am. Luckily I was on time, I submitted my resume and entered the interview room. I always wanted to express myself confidently, The interview started with the usual question “Tell me about yourself”. I expressed myself honestly and everything I did as a part of Team E-Cell like writing the Technical Book “How to learn Chemical Engineering in 100 problems & Be Industry Ready” and other books; started working on projects from 1st year and the way I improved my communication skills helped me tell more about myself. One key thing I remembered was our mentor used to always specify how our E-Cell activities will add value to our resume that was very true. Usually, our Resume will lead the interview, the stronger the Resume, the higher the chance of a successful interview. The little time I invested in projects made me learn, helped me explain interviewers in a better way. Actually, an interesting thing happened here, after these all interview discussions the interviewers started saying that, I have a really good profile and they mentioned not to join the job role as I have a better profile and then mentioned that people like me are the ones who will change and make a lot of difference in companies, not that the company is not good, it was all about the kind of work and exposure one gets and later suggested me to go for higher studies. Another important thing that made me feel amazed was that they mentioned meeting them directly if I get no job. This was an amazing interview experience that probably might happen in dreams or in movies. This really helped me understand my potential at a different level. The only things I did were I tried to learn different things and I tried to express them honestly, I feel that is how we can easily make the interview a memory instead of making it a tense situation. I’m grateful to my team E-Cell and everyone who helped me get better at things with which I struggled.
Thank you, That was my first real fictional interview experience
